A Blog On Ideas, How Ideas Matter, and Ideas That Matter

 

I wrote a column for Forbes.com from 2011 until 2020 where my beat was “Creativity in modern branding.” The gazillions of articles are still there, actually. Five posts a month, usually critiquing and/or unpacking the strategies behind great advertising ideas, but sometimes reporting on new scientific studies on creativity. Once I got serious about launching Ideasicle X, I didn’t have time to write five posts a month, so I had to let it go.

But I still find myself looking for topics for Forbes posts. I’ll see a great ad and think, “That would’ve made a great Forbes post.” Or I’ll read about a new study on creativity and think the same. So I figured I’d start a new blog (this one) where I can write at my own pace the same sorts of things I used to write for Forbes with some added dimensions.

Like my work with Ideasicle X. Sorta behind the scenes stuff that I’m going through as I build this company. But also experiences with the platform. You see, I’m both the founder of Ideasicle X AND a customer! I manage projects for companies under the banner “proXy Service,” where I represent the customer on the Ideasicle X platform and manage entire idea projects for them. So I’m sure I’ll have interesting stories about that as well. Already do, actually.

So be on the lookout. Because there are so many great ideas out there to dissect and analyze. Ideas that matter.

And the world needs ideas that matter right now, don’t you think?
